Groups of deficiency zero

چکیده
We make a systematic study of groups of deeciency zero, concentrating on groups of prime-power order. We prove that a number of p-groups have deeciency zero and give explicit balanced presentations for them. This signiicantly increases the number of such groups known. We describe a reasonably general computational approach which leads to these results. We also list some other nite groups of deeciency zero.

Proving the efficiency of pro-2-groups of fixed co-classes
Among the six classes of pro-2-groups of finite and fixed co-classes and trivial Schur Multiplicator which studied by Abdolzadeh and Eick in 2009, there are two classes $$S_5=langle a,bmid [b,a^2]=1, a^2=[b,a]^2, (b^2)^{[b,a]}b^2=1rangle$$ and $$S_6=langle a,t,bmid a^2=b^2,[b,a]^2=1, t^a=t^{-1}[b,a], b^t=abarangle$$that have been conjectured to have deficiency zero presentations. In this paper ...
متن کاملNutritional responses of Thymus exposed leaf spraying under soil nitrogen deficiency
Thyme is a valuable plant used in medicine, perfumery and food industry. Mineral deficiencies often limit the growth of plants. Nitrogen deficiency in agricultural soils is a problem throughout the world. The present study evaluated effects of applying Fe and Zn in absorption of some important nutrients of Thymus vulgaris...
متن کاملHemolysis Induced by Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase Deficiency and Its Association with Sex in Children
Background: Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency is the most common enzyme disorder in human. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of G6PD deficiency among children and evaluate its association with ABO/Rh blood groups. Method: Blood samples of 3401 asymptomatic children were analyzed and compared with 317 children who were admitted to hospital because of hemolys...
